How To Reach Naulakha Temple

Begusarai, Bihar, India
History and Origin: The Naulakha Temple in Begusarai is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Radha-Krishna, established around 1953 by Saint Mahavir Das (as per local records, distinct from the Deoghar temple). The name 'Naulakha' literally means 'Nine Lakhs', which signifies the substantial cost i ncurred in its construction, although the exact cost in modern currency is hard to ascertain. It is revered locally for its spiritual sanctity and the beautiful idols it houses. Unlike the more famous temple of the same name in Deoghar, this temple stands near the holy River Ganga in the Bishanpur village, a significant point of worship for the local populace. The temple’s location on the riverbank adds to its spiritual aura, drawing thousands of devotees, especially during the holy month of Kartik (October-November) for the ritual Ganga Snan. The establishment of the temple has turned Bishanpur into a key religious destination in Begusarai, reflecting the region's deep devotion to Lord Krishna and Ganga Ma.
