Best Option: The newly opened Deoghar Airport (DGH) is the most convenient, located much closer to the city center, though connectivity is still expanding. Travelers can take a commercial flight to Deoghar Airport and hire a pre-booked taxi or the resort's shuttle service for the final 30-40 minute drive to the resort.
By Train (The Most Convenient Way): The nearest major railway station is Madhupur Junction (MDP), as the resort is near this town. Madhupur is a well-connected station on the Howrah-Patna-Delhi Main Line.
Travel Plan: From major cities like Kolkata, Patna, or Delhi, one can take express trains directly to Madhupur Junction (MDP). The resort is just a short 15-20 minute drive (approximately 8-10 KMS) from Madhupur Junction, for which a local taxi or the resort’s dedicated car service should be used. The main Deoghar Terminal (DGHR) or Jasidih Junction (JSME) are also viable options (approx. 35-40 KMS from the resort), but Madhupur is slightly closer.
By Road (Self-Drive or Bus): Deoghar is well-connected by National Highway 114A and 333A.
From Kolkata: The distance is about 370-400 KMS, taking roughly 8-10 hours via the NH19/NH2 and then state roads or NH114A.
From Patna: The distance is about 275 KMS, taking 6-7 hours via NH31 and NH333A.
Plan: Guests should drive towards the town of Madhupur. Once near Madhupur, follow local signage or GPS to Village Khilchipur. Private/pre-booked taxis from Kolkata or Patna are the most comfortable road option.
By Local Transport (Within Deoghar/Madhupur): For the last mile, the best option is to hire an auto-rickshaw (or a "tempo") from Madhupur Junction or a reliable local cab service, ensuring the driver knows the location of Village Khilchipur or the resort by name. Resort-provided transfers are always recommended for a hassle-free experience.
