How to Reach

By Air: The closest domestic airport is Deoghar Airport (DGH), which is approximately 12 to 15 KMS from the Satsang Ashram. Deoghar Airport is well-connected to major Indian cities like Kolkata, New Delhi, and Bengaluru via domestic airlines like IndiGo. From the airport, one can easily hire pre-paid taxis or auto-rickshaws to reach the Satsang Ashram in Satsang Nagar. The drive typically takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The nearest international airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) in Kolkata, approximately 380 KMS away.

By Train: The nearest major railway station is Jasidih Junction (JSME), located about 7 KMS from the Satsang Ashram. Jasidih is a major station on the Howrah (Kolkata) – Patna – Delhi main line and is well-connected to many parts of India by express trains like Rajdhani Express and Jan Shatabdi Express. From Jasidih, one can easily find auto-rickshaws, shared autos, or taxis to reach the ashram. Alternatively, Baidyanath Dham Junction (BDME) is the station closer to the main Deoghar town (about 5 KMS away), which also has connectivity but Jasidih is the preferred stop for long-distance trains.

By Road: Deoghar is well-connected by road to nearby cities and state capitals. The Satsang Ashram is located very close to the main city of Deoghar. Regular bus services (both state-run and private) connect Deoghar to cities like Ranchi (about 278 KMS), Patna (about 250 KMS), and Kolkata (about 380 KMS). If driving, you can follow NH114A and local roads to reach Satsang Nagar. Taxis and private cars can be hired from major cities for a comfortable journey.

By Local Transport: Within Deoghar city, the most convenient and economical way to reach Satsang Ashram from the railway stations or the city center is by hiring an auto-rickshaw (or 'auto'). These are readily available everywhere in Deoghar. The short distance of about 3 to 7 KMS ensures a quick and inexpensive ride. Cycle-rickshaws are also available for short distances, offering a more traditional local experience.
