Mookanamane Falls
Mookanamane Falls, also known as the Abbi Falls of Hettur, is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall that remains one of the best-kept secrets of the Hassan district. Unlike the more famous waterfalls that are crowded with tourists, Mookanamane offers a secluded and raw experience of the Western Ghats. The waterfall is formed by a mountain stream that drops over several rocky ledges, creating a series of cascades that eventually merge into a wide, shallow riverbed. The surrounding vegetation is incredibly dense, consisting of tropical evergreen forests that stay vibrant throughout the year. The sound of the water crashing against the rocks can be heard from a distance, building anticipation as you walk down the forest path.
