Dimension: The temple structure is modest in size compared to the grand Deccan mosques, focusing on the sanctity of the inner shrine. The layout includes a Mandapa (pillared hall) leading to the Garbagriha. The complex's most prominent architectural/natural feature is the large Papnash Lake at the base of the temple. The modern-era construction uses painted stone and concrete but retains a reverence for the ancient site. An unusual feature is the presence of three Shiva Lingas within the complex, which devotees are permitted to touch and offer direct prayers to, a rare practice in many large temples. The valley setting enhances the spiritual atmosphere.
Natural Water Feature: The natural spring that feeds the perennial lake is the most distinctive "architectural" element, as the entire site is built around and defined by this sacred water source. -
