Unique Management by Kanyas: The ashr am is historically and uniquely run by a group of devoted women (Kanyas), known as the Kanya Kumari Sthan, who maintain the traditions of selfless service and austerity taught by Upasani Maharaj and his successor, Godavari Mataji.
