Travel Tips Of Eegalapenta
Nagarkurnool, Telangana, India
Eegalapenta is a picturesque village that has become a major tourism hub due to its location on the backwaters of the Srisailam Dam. The Krishna River here widens into a massive lake-like expanse, surrounded by the dense Nallamala forest. The Telangana Tourism department has developed a beautiful r esort here, offering a luxury stay with stunning river views. It is the gateway to the Srisailam temple from the Telangana side. The area is known for its tranquility, offering a stark contrast to the busy temple town of Srisailam. Visitors can enjoy boat rides that take them deep into the backwaters, where the only sounds are the ripples of water and the calls of forest birds. The sunset at Eegalapenta is legendary, with the sun dipping behind the hills and painting the water in shades of crimson and gold. It is also a base for exploring the Amrabad Tiger Reserve. The village retains its rustic charm while providing modern amenities for tourists. It is an excellent destination for those looking for a "staycation" amidst nature.
