Legend has it that the Guru paid his soldiers here using gold coins. When some soldiers demanded more and then felt greedy, the Guru buried the remaining treasure, which the villagers could never find despite their efforts. Another significant event here was the baptism of a Muslim saint, Peer Sayyad Ibrahim, who became a Khalsa named Ajmer Singh after being inspired by the Guru. This transformation highlights the Guru's message that spirituality transcends religious labels. The Gurudwara today is a grand complex that stands as a beacon of faith in the Malwa heartland.
