Health & Safety: Stay away from the edge of the dam and follow all warning signs. The water near the intake tunnels can be very dangerous. Keep children close at all times.

Packing: Carry a light windbreaker as it can get breezy near the large water body. Binoculars are great for spotting birds and distant peaks.

Accommodation: Stay at the government guest houses or small hotels in Nongpoh town, which is just a short drive away.

Cash & Connectivity: There are no ATMs at the dam site, so withdraw money in Nongpoh. Mobile data works well on the dam top but may drop in the valley.

Respecting Rules: Do not enter the "No Entry" zones of the power project. These are high-voltage areas and are strictly guarded for your safety.
