It is a popular spot for weekend travelers from Shillong and Guwahati. The atmosphere here is one of deep tranquility, broken only by the sound of birds and the gentle ripples of the water. Unlike many other tourist spots, it has managed to maintain its serene character. The lake is also used by local villagers for traditional rites.
