This place earned its name roughly 60 years ago when 24 families from Visakhapatnam migrated here to work on the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam project. They established a colony that even tually became known as Vizag Colony. Unlike a traditional sea beach, this is a vast expanse of the Nagarjuna Sagar backwaters, which creates a stunning shoreline. The area is surrounded by the lush green Nallamala hills, providing a breathtaking backdrop that mimics a coastal landscape.
