Devgad, a charming coastal town in the Sindhudurg district (south of Ratnagiri district but often visited from Ratnagiri), is a picturesque destination known for its pristine beach, a historic fort, and its undisputed reputation as the home of the world-famous Devgad Alphonso mango. The town is surrounded by vast mango orchards, and during the mango season (typically April to June), the air is filled with the sweet aroma of ripe mangoes. Devgad is a major hub for Alphonso mango export, and visitors can indulge in fresh mangoes or mango-based products. The combination of a beautiful beach, a historic fort, and the world-renowned mangoes makes Devgad a unique and highly enjoyable destination for a coastal getaway.
