Durdur Waterfall

Chaibasa, Jharkhand, India
Durdur Waterfall is a breathtaking hidden gem located in the hilly terrains near Chakradharpur. It is often referred to as the "Hidden Valley of CKP" due to its secluded location amidst dense forests and rocky cliffs. The waterfall cascades down from a significant height, creating a misty pool at t he bottom where visitors can take a refreshing dip. The journey to the waterfall involves a short trek through tribal paths, adding an element of adventure to the visit. The sound of the falling water, "Durdur," gives the place its name and can be heard from a distance. The surrounding rocks are covered in moss and ferns, creating a prehistoric feel. It is a preferred spot for youngsters and trekking enthusiasts who seek an offbeat experience away from the traditional tourist circuits of Jharkhand. The water remains cool even during the peak of summer, though it is most majestic after the rains.
