Hill Point

Chaibasa, Jharkhand, India
Hill Point is the highest accessible elevation near Chaibasa town, offering a 360-degree view of the entire district headquarters and the surrounding Saranda forest fringes. It is a popular spot for morning walkers and evening strollers who come to witness the sunrise and sunset. The hill is part o f a range that protects the city from heavy winds and provides a scenic backdrop to the urban landscape. The climb to the top is relatively easy, with a well-defined path that winds through shrubs and small trees. From the summit, one can see the Roro River snaking through the plains and the distant industrial chimneys of nearby towns. The air at the top is noticeably fresher, and the silence is a welcome break from the city's noise. It has recently gained popularity as a "selfie point" for the local youth and a place for quiet contemplation for the elderly.

There is a small watchtower structure under construction with a height of 15 feet. Stone benches are placed at various intervals for resting.
