History Of Anamudi Peak

Anamudi Peak is the highest point in South India, standing at an elevation of 2,695 meters. Located inside the Eravikulam National Park, it is a majestic mountain that offers panoramic views of the Western Ghats. The peak is famous for its elephant-head shape, which is why it is named Anamudi (Elep hant Head). The area is home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered mountain goat. The slopes are covered with lush green tea plantations and dense forests. This peak is a paradise for trekkers and nature lovers who want to experience the wilderness of Kerala.
