How to Reach

Alpather Lake is located about 13 km from Gulmarg. The most convenient way to reach it is by taking the Gulmarg Gondola to Apharwat Peak and then trekking to the lake. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours and is very scenic. You can also hire a pony from Gulmarg to the lake.
