Nearest Airport: Vidyanagar Airport (VDY) () The nearest airport is Jindal Vijaynagar Airport (VDY) near Toranagallu (35 KM). From VDY, take a taxi directly to Kamalapura village, where the museum is located. The museum is a known landmark in Kamalapura. The major international option is Bengaluru (BLR) (350 KM). The taxi ride from VDY to the museum takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
By Train:
Nearest Railway Station: Hospet Junction (HPT) () The closest railway station is Hospet Junction (HPT) (13 KM). From Hospet, you can easily hire a shared auto-rickshaw or a local taxi to Kamalapura village. Alternatively, local buses from Hospet to Hampi often pass through or stop at Kamalapura, from where the museum is a short walk away.
By Road: Located in Kamalapura Village () If arriving by bus (e. g. , from Bengaluru or Goa), you will first arrive at Hospet. From Hospet, take a local bus to Kamalapura (about 5 KM before the main Hampi Bazaar). If driving, follow the signs for Hampi and turn off at Kamalapura. The museum is located right in the village centre. Look for the large parking area.
By Local Transport: Auto-rickshaw or Rented Vehicle () From Hampi Bazaar (4 KM), the museum is easily reached by an auto-rickshaw ride (about 15 minutes) or by taking a local bus that plies the Hospet-Hampi route and getting off at the Kamalapura bus stop. You can also visit it as part of a rented bicycle or scooter tour of the Royal Enclosure and surrounding sites.
