How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in West Bengal (approx. 125 KMS). From IXB, hire a pre-paid taxi or share a cab to Namchi, which takes around 4-5 hours. Book a cab early for better rates.

By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal (approx. 120 KMS). From NJP, shared taxis (Sumo/Bolero) or private cabs are readily available to Namchi, taking approximately 4 hours.

By Road: Namchi is well-connected by road from Gangtok (approx. 80 KMS) and Darjeeling (approx. 90 KMS). State-run buses and taxis are available. From within Namchi, the statue is central and can be reached by a short walk from the main market or by local taxi/cab. The infrastructure is suitable for all-weather road travel.

By Local Transport: Within Namchi, local taxis are the easiest way to travel. The statue is a short, 5-10 minute drive or a 15-20 minute walk from the main town center or bus stand.
