By Air: The nearest major airport is Kolkata (CCU), about 230 KM away. Alternatively, one can fly to Durgapur (RDP), which is closer at around 60 KM.

By Train: Kumardhubi Railway Station is the nearest railhead, located right next to Chirkunda. It is a major stop on the Howrah-Delhi line, making it very easy to reach by train.

By Road: Chirkunda is situated on the Grand Trunk Road (NH-19). It is well-connected by bus to Dhanbad, Asansol, and Kolkata, with frequent services available throughout the day.

By Local Transport: Auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws are the primary way to travel within the town. To visit the dams, you can hire a private taxi or an auto for a round trip.
