Historical Significance: Fateh Burj (Victory Tower) is a magnificent and historically profound monument commemorating the victory of the Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur over the Mughal forces, led by Wazir Khan of Sirhind, in the Battle of Chappar Chiri in 1710. This victory was a turning poin t, establishing the first Sikh rule (Misl) in the region and marking the end of Mughal oppression. The tower is dedicated to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and his five generals. Structure and Symbolism: Completed in 2011, the minaret is an architectural marvel and is recognized as the tallest minaret in India, standing at 100 meters (over 328 feet). The tower is built upon a three-tiered platform, symbolizing the three key victories of Banda Singh Bahadur at Samana, Sadhaura, and Sirhind. The entire complex is a war memorial set in a beautifully landscaped park spanning 20 acres. It serves as a powerful symbol of Sikh resilience, justice, and the fight for religious freedom. Visitor Experience: The complex is designed to be an educational and reflective space.
