Details and History:The Gauri Shankar Mandir, affectionately known as Kirorimal Mandir, is one of the most revered and architecturally significant temples in Bhiwani. It was constructed in 1951 by the philanthropist Seth Kirorimal and is dedicated to the divine union of Lord Shiva (Shankar) and Godd ess Parvati (Gauri). The temple complex houses the central deities, along with separate idols of Laxmi Narayan and Radha Krishna, reflecting a broad devotional scope. Its construction was a major cultural and religious event for the city. Religious Significance:The temple is a central hub for Hindu religious activities, drawing thousands of devotees, especially during the holy month of Shravan and on festivals like Shivaratri and Janmashtami. It serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center for spiritual learning. The temple's atmosphere is known for its deep spiritual tranquility despite its central location in the busy town. Inscriptions and Mythology:A unique feature is the extensive use of inscriptions. The pillars are engraved with verses from the Bhagavad Gita, celestial songs, and sayings of revered saints and poets. How to Reach

By Air:Nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL) (Approx. 125 KMS). From Delhi, take a direct bus or train to Bhiwani, then a local transport.

By Train:Very accessible from Bhiwani Junction Railway Station (BNW) (Approx. 2 KMS). Take a local auto-rickshaw or cycle rickshaw for the short journey.

By Road:Located centrally on Circular Road, near Barsi Gate. Public buses from the Bhiwani Bus Stand offer easy access. If driving, follow the signs toward the city center/Barsi Gate.

By Local Transport:Being centrally located, local auto-rickshaws and cycle rickshaws are the easiest and most economical way to reach the temple from any point in Bhiwani city.
