How to Reach
By Train: Nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) (approx. 210 KMS to Lachung). From NJP, take a taxi to Gangtok, secure permits, and travel to Lachung (the closest base).
By Road: The springs are located in the Yumthang Valley, which is accessed via the road from Lachung (approx. 25 KMS), which is itself a 5-6 hour drive from Gangtok or a 2-hour drive from Lachen. Only authorized, permitted taxis (usually a Bolero or Sumo) are allowed to ply this route due to the permit requirements.
By Local Transport: No formal public transport; only reserved or shared permitted jeeps operate the Lachung to Yumthang route. :
