How to Reach
By Air: The nearest major airport is Birsa Munda Airport (IXR) in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, which is approximately 120 KMS away. Travelers can take a flight from major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore to Ranchi. From the Ranchi airport, one has the option to hire a pre-paid taxi or a private cab. The road journey from Ranchi to Bokaro takes about 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions, primarily via NH33 and NH18 (old NH32). A taxi will be the most comfortable and direct option. Alternatively, the Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP) in Durgapur, West Bengal, is about 140 KMS away and can be another viable, though less frequent, option.
By Train: The most convenient railway station is Bokaro Steel City Railway Station (BKSC), which is a major junction well-connected to all parts of India. Regular and express trains run from cities like Kolkata (Howrah/Sealdah), New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar. Another nearby option, though slightly further, is Dhanbad Junction (DHN). From Bokaro Steel City Railway Station, the temple is a short ride of about 15-20 minutes (8-10 KMS).
