By Train: Nearest major station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) (120 KMS). From NJP, hire a private taxi directly to Kitam village. This is the most convenient way.
By Road: The sanctuary is located on the road connecting Namchi and Melli. It's about 19 KMS from Namchi and can be reached via a hired or local taxi (45-60 minute drive). Shared jeeps running on the Namchi-Melli route can drop you near the entrance.
By Local Transport: From Namchi, hiring a dedicated local taxi (often a Sumo or Bolero) is best for the round trip, as local transport frequency to the exact spot can be inconsistent.
