By Air: The nearest major airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai, approximately 25-30 KMS away. From the airport, one must hire a taxi or use ride-sharing services, taking the Eastern Express Highway towards Thane, and then proceeding to Lokmanya Nagar or Hanuman Nagar, which will take about 60-90 minutes depending on the notorious Mumbai traffic.

By Train: The most convenient rail access is through Thane Railway Station, which is a major junction on the Central Railway line. Thane Station is approximately 4-5 KMS from the base of the trek. From the station, you can easily hire an auto-rickshaw (a shared one is a common and affordable local option) or a taxi directly to the trek starting points at Lokmanya Nagar Bus Depot or the Hanuman Nagar Wagle Estate side. The journey takes about 15-25 minutes.

By Road (Car/Taxi): The spot is easily accessible from the Eastern Express Highway and the Ghodbunder Road network in Thane. Drive towards the Wagle Industrial Estate or Lokmanya Nagar Bus Depot and follow the local signs or GPS for the Mama Bhanja Trek start point. Parking is available near the base of the hill, often managed by local residents for a small fee.

By Local Transport (Bus/Auto): Thane Municipal Transport (TMT) buses operate frequently to Lokmanya Nagar Bus Depot. Bus numbers like TMT 58 and other local routes serve this area. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the main green entry gate. Auto-rickshaws are plentiful in Thane and are the quickest, most direct form of local transport from any point in the city.
