How to Reach

By Air: The closest airport is Pantnagar Airport (PGH), located approximately 58 KMS away. Taxis from the airport should be directed towards Mehragaon village, near the turn-off for Sattal, which will bring you close to the Tal.

By Train: The nearest railhead is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), situated 23 KMS away. From the station, hire a private taxi directly to the Tal. It is a shorter, more comfortable journey than relying on multi-stage local transport.

By Road: The Tal is situated about 2 KMS from the main Bhimtal market. The road is motorable up to a certain point, after which a short, picturesque walk is required. From Bhimtal, take the road towards Sattal. Private taxis or auto-rickshaws are the best options for the short journey from the town center.

By Local Transport: From the main Bhimtal lake area, the most convenient local options are a private taxi or a hired auto-rickshaw. The short distance makes it perfect for a leisurely 30-minute walk from the Butterfly Museum area, passing through local scenery.
