By Train: The nearest major station is Sambalpur Junction (SBP), about 15 KMs away. Hirakud Railway Station is closer, around 12 KMs. From either station, auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available to take you to Jyoti Vihar, Burla. Always specify "Sambalpur University" as the destination.

By Road: Sambalpur University (Jyoti Vihar) is located in the town of Burla, which is a satellite town of Sambalpur. It is well-connected by local bus and taxi services. The journey from Sambalpur city center takes about 30-40 minutes.
