By Train: Kannur Railway Station is the major railhead at 37 km, while Thalassery Station is also a viable option.
By Road: Regular buses run from Kannur and Iritty towns; the dam is located near Kuyiloor on the main highway.
By Local Transport: From Iritty town, one can easily hire an auto-rikshaw or take a local bus to reach the dam entrance.
