By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal (approximately 125 KMS away). From NJP, shared taxis (Sumo/Maxx) or private cabs are easily available for the direct drive to Rabongla. From Rabongla, a local taxi is needed to reach the road-head near Sangmo Village, followed by a short trek to the cave.
By Road: The cave is located near Rabongla in South Sikkim. It is well-connected by State Highways. From Namchi, it is roughly a 2-hour drive. From Gangtok, it takes about 3-4 hours. The last leg involves driving to Sangmo Village, from where a well-defined trekking path leads to the cave entrance (about 20-30 minutes of moderate downhill walk).
By Local Transport: From Rabongla town, local shared jeeps or hired private taxis are the best way to reach the road-head at Sangmo Village. The final part of the journey is an essential 20-30 minute uphill/downhill trek, as the cave is not accessible directly by vehicle. A local guide is recommended for the final trek. :
