Korattumoola Ana Dam
Korattumoola Ana Dam is a small but picturesque check dam built across a tributary of the Vamanapuram River. Unlike large hydroelectric dams, this "Ana Dam" (a local term for a small diversion dam) is designed for irrigation and to maintain water levels in the surrounding wells. The spot has gained popularity as a local hangout due to the gentle sound of flowing water and the canopy of trees that shade the banks. During the monsoon, the water overflows the masonry wall, creating a beautiful mini-waterfall effect that attracts youngsters and families for a quick dip.
