Phullen Village
Details : Phullen Village is a historically significant settlement located in the Saitual district, known for its rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted Mizo traditions. In the British era, it was a prominent village ruled by powerful chiefs like Vanphunga Sailo and later his son Awksarala Sailo. T he village is often referred to as a "living museum" because of the numerous historical landmarks scattered throughout its territory. One of the most famous sites is the Sahlam tree, where ancient Mizo warriors used to hang the heads of their enemies as trophies of war. Phullen also played a pivotal role in the religious history of Mizoram, being the site of the first Christian revival at Khandaih Bethel in 1906.
