Ram Van

Rajkot, Gujarat, India
A Cultural Oasis: Ram Van is India's first urban forest based on the theme of the Ramayana, sprawling over 47 acres of land. It was inaugurated to provide a spiritual and ecological retreat for the residents of Rajkot. The park features 22 beautifully crafted sculptures depicting various episodes fr om the life of Lord Rama, from his birth to his coronation. This "Urban Forest" concept combines dense plantation with religious storytelling, creating a unique educational environment. Thousands of indigenous trees have been planted here to improve the local air quality and provide a habitat for birds. The layout is designed as a walking trail that takes visitors through a chronological journey of the epic Ramayana. It has quickly become one of the most popular tourist spots in the city due to its serene atmosphere and artistic brilliance. The park also includes a massive statue of Lord Ram, which serves as its primary landmark. It is a perfect blend of environmental conservation and cultural heritage.
