Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum
History & Significance: The Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum is a spectacular art repository located in the heart of the Lakshmi Vilas Palace estate. Originally constructed as a school for the royal children of the Gaekwad dynasty, it was converted into a museum in 1961 by Maharaja Fatehsinghrao Gaekwad. This institution is a testament to the grand vision of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, who was a passionate patron of the arts and global culture. The museum houses an incredible collection of personal belongings and art pieces acquired by the royal family during their travels across Europe and Asia.
