Sadu Chiru Waterfalls

Phumdi, Manipur, India
Sadu Chiru Waterfalls, popularly known as Leimaram Waterfall, is one of the most beautiful and visited waterfalls in Manipur. Located in the Senapati District (near the border of Bishnupur), it features three separate falls cascading down a lush green hillside. The first fall is the most accessible and popular, standing at about 15 Meters high. The water falls into a clear pool where visitors often enjoy a refreshing dip. To reach the falls, one has to take a scenic drive through paddy fields and then walk up a well-maintained stone pathway for about 300 Meters. The area is surrounded by dense tropical forests, providing a cool and refreshing atmosphere even during the summer. It has been developed by the tourism department with stone steps, resting sheds, and a manicured garden at the base. The sound of the gushing water combined with the chirping of birds makes it a perfect retreat for nature lovers and families seeking a weekend getaway from the city.
