Health & Safety: Be prepared for high altitudes; walk slowly to acclimatize. There are no medical shops in Khati, so carry all necessary medicines and a first-aid kit.

Packing: Heavy woolens are a must even in summer. Good trekking boots with a firm grip are essential for the 5 KM hike from Kharkiya.

Cash & Connectivity: There are no ATMs in Khati. Carry all required cash from Bageshwar. There is no mobile network except for a weak BSNL signal used mainly for emergency calls.
