Ideal Visit Time: The ideal visit time is the Early Morning (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) for studying the architecture and taking clear photos before the market activity peaks. Alternatively, the Late Afternoon (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) is perfect for observing the vibrant market life and capturing the sunset light on the facade. Avoid the intense midday heat. A full visit requires about 1 hour of focused attention.

During these times, the gateway is often decorated, illuminated, and the market activity peaks, transforming the area into a vibrant cultural spectacle.
Local Government Ceremonies: Due to its status as a prominent historical landmark, the local administration occasionally uses the area near the gateway for cultural programs, historical walks, or smaller public ceremonies commemorating the history of Narnaul.

Close-Up of the Pointed Arch: A detailed, close-up photograph of the pointed arch and the historical inscription above it is a must, focusing on the ornamental plasterwork and the masonry.
The Three-Storied Elevation: A slightly distant shot of the entire gateway, emphasizing its vertical scale and three-storied mass rising above the surrounding low market buildings, gives the best sense of its former grandeur.
Sunset Silhouette: Capturing the silhouette of the top of the gateway against a twilight sky, especially when the streetlights below are just coming on, creates a beautiful contrast between the old monument and the vibrant modern city.

Things To Do
-
Architectural Photography and Detail Capturing: The three arches and the three stories provide fantastic lines and symmetry for photography. Spend time capturing the detailed ornamental carvings, the pointed arch of the entrance, and the overall scale of the structure, especially using the arches to frame the street or surrounding area.
Tracing the Historical Inscription: Locate the inscription above the main arch. Even if you cannot read Persian, documenting this direct historical record of the builder and the garden's name provides a powerful connection to the past. Try to find a translated copy beforehand.
Observing Local Life: The gateway is in the middle of the bustling Purani Mandi (Old Market). Take time to simply sit and observe the local market life, the vendors, and the pedestrians ...

The gateway serves as a magnificent testament to the wealth and political importance of Narnaul as an administrative center under this powerful governor. It is a symbol of Mughal authority and high-status construction.
Entrance to Paradise: The inscription and its original function as the main entrance to Aram-i-Kausar (Garden of Paradise) contribute greatly to its romantic and cultural fame. This connection allows visitors to mentally reconstruct the lost beauty of the garden that once lay beyond its arches, contrasting the current urban surroundings with the historical vision of a paradise garden.
Architectural Elegance: Its elegant, three-storied design and the delicate ornamental carvings on the facade make it one of the most aesthetically pleasing and widely photographed monuments in Narnaul. It stands out from the more somber, fortress-like tombs in the city, representing the high cultural taste of the Mughal elite.

The structure primarily uses robust rubble masonry, which is then veneered with a smooth, thick layer of lime plaster.
Key Decorative Features: The facade is designed with symmetry, focusing on the large central arch. The interior surfaces of the walls and ceilings were richly decorated with ornamental carvings and traces of painted patterns, now faded, but hinting at their original splendor. The pointed arch is a typical feature of Mughal architecture.
Dimension (General Layout): The gateway is a prominent, rectangular block. Its height is significant due to the three stories, likely reaching 15-20 meters. The width of the entire gateway complex is estimated to be around 15m to 20m, with the central arch being the widest opening. The side arches are smaller.
