Weather and Best Time to Visit

Winter (October to March) This is the ideal time to visit as the humidity is low and the weather is pleasant for houseboat cruises and beach walks. Most festivals, including the temple events, take place during these cooler months. Summer (March to May) It can get quite hot and humid, but this is a great time for water-based activities. The backwaters of Alumkadavu offer a cooling breeze, and the town is less crowded with tourists, providing a more local experience.

Time of Day: Sunrise at the backwaters and Sunset at Azheekal Beach are the golden hours. Visiting the Krishnapuram Palace is best in the Early Morning to avoid the afternoon heat and enjoy the gardens in the soft light.
