By Air: The nearest major airport is Mohanbari Airport (DIB) in Dibrugarh, Assam, approximately 182 KMS away; from the airport, one must hire a taxi or take a pre-booked vehicle via Tinsukia to Miao and then onward to the watchtower location.
By Train: The nearest long-distance station is New Tinsukia Railway Station, Assam (141 KMS); the nearest passenger station is Margherita, Assam (91 KMS); from the station, taxis are the best option to reach Miao.
By Road: Miao is well-connected by a good motorable road; the watchtower is located along the main road leading into Namdapha National Park, a further 19-32 KMS drive from the Miao main township, best reached by hiring a local sumo or a private taxi from Miao.
By Local Transport: Hire a private vehicle, like a shared or dedicated Sumo taxi, from the Miao Bus Station or taxi stand; public transport to the specific '32nd Mile' point might be infrequent.
