How to Reach

By Air:

Via Trivandrum Airport: You will arrive at Trivandrum International Airport (TRV), which is about 22 KMS away. From the airport, the quickest way to reach the temple is by pre-booked taxi or a ride-sharing service. The drive is scenic as it goes through coastal areas and takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

By Train:

Via Thiruvananthapuram Central: The nearest major railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central (TVC), located about 20 KMS from the temple. Outside the station, you can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw. It is highly advisable to clearly tell the driver you want to go to the Aazhimala Shiva Temple in Vizhinjam/ Pulinkudi to avoid confusion.

By Road:

Taxi from Kovalam: From Kovalam Junction, the temple is a short ride of about 6 KMS. The most convenient option is to hire an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi. The road is well-paved, but it is necessary to travel a short distance off the main Vizhinjam–Poovar road to reach the cliff-top location. The journey should take less than 15 minutes from Kovalam center.

By Local Transport:

Direct Auto-rickshaw: The best local transport is an auto-rickshaw from Kovalam. You can arrange for the driver to wait for you for a small additional fee, as public transport options are less frequent right at the temple gates due to its secluded cliff-top location.
