Access is typically granted during festive seasons like Onam and Christmas, or on specific weekends, depending on the current security protocols. How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Cochin (COK) and then take a taxi or bus to Idukki, a journey of about 4 hours.

By Train: Take a train to Kottayam or Changanassery and then a bus to Painavu.

By Road: Excellent road connectivity exists from Thekkady (75 KM) and Munnar (60 KM).

By Local Transport: From the Painavu or Cheruthoni bus stands, local transport is easily available to the dam access point.
