Spiritual and Historical Significance: Kalachakra Gompa, also known locally as Dirang Monastery (though this can be confused with Thupsung Dhargye Ling), is one of the older and most significant monasteries in the Dirang Valley. Its name is linked to the profound Buddhist teaching of Kalachakra ("Wh eel of Time"), symbolizing cosmic cycles and inner transformation. How to Reach

By Air: Nearest major airport is Tezpur Airport (TEZ), Rs.190 KMS away. Take a taxi/shared cab to Dirang town.

By Train: Nearest major railway station is Rangapara North Junction (RPN) in Assam, Rs.170 KMS away. From the station, take a bus or shared taxi to the main market in Dirang.

By Road: Dirang is on the NH13. The Gompa is very close to the town center (Rs.1 KM) and is accessible via a short, motorable road (often paved) leading up the hill. It is well-signposted from the main highway.

By Local Transport: A 5 to 10 minute walk from the main town market area is the easiest way to reach the Gompa. Local taxis are also available for a quick drop-off.
