By Train: The nearest railway station is Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus, Kolhapur (KOP) (approx. 8 KMS). From the station, an auto-rickshaw or taxi can take you to the maidan. Alternatively, Khasbag Maidan is only about 1 KM from the Mahalaxmi Temple, making it walkable if you are visiting the temple first. The ride from the station is about 20 minutes.
By Road: The maidan is centrally located in Mangalwar Peth, very close to the Old Palace and the Keshavrao Bhosale Drama Theatre. It's easily reachable by car or two-wheeler. If arriving at the Kolhapur Central Bus Stand (CBS) (approx. 8 KMS), a local city bus, auto-rickshaw, or taxi will get you there quickly.
By Local Transport: It's very easy to reach by Auto-rickshaw from any part of the city. Since it is so central, you can also easily walk to it if you are staying in the Mahadwar Road or Bhavani Mandap areas. Local City Buses also have major stops in the vicinity of Mangalwar Peth and the Old Palace. App-based taxis are also reliable for a quick journey.
