A Journey of Grit:

By Air: The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu), about 52 Kms from the base camp. From there, take a taxi to Manikaran and then to Barshaini.

By Train: The closest major railway station is Chandigarh, approximately 300 Kms away. From Chandigarh, one must take a bus or cab to the Parvati Valley.

By Road: Travel from Manikaran to Barshaini (approx. 18 Kms) via local bus or private taxi. This is the last motorable point.

By Local Transport: From Barshaini, the only way to reach Mantalai Lake is by a rigorous trek of about 36 Kms spanning 3 to 4 days via Kheerganga and Tunda Bhuj.
