Centre of Tibetan Culture::The Miao Buddhist Temple, also referred to as the Monastery at the Choephelling Tibetan Refugee Settlement Camp, is a serene and beautiful spiritual center for the large Tibetan community that has made Miao their home since 1975. This temple is not just a place of worship but a cultural anchor, maintaining the distinct traditions and religious practices of Tibetan Buddhism in a remote corner of North East India. Its vibrant architecture, adorned with traditional Tibetan motifs, prayer flags, and a large central Buddha statue, makes it a unique tourist attraction. Easy Local Access::

By Air: Nearest airport is Dibrugarh (DIB), 158 KMS away; hire a taxi to Miao.

By Train: Nearest railway stations are New Tinsukia (115 KMS) or Margherita (65 KMS); hire a taxi to Miao.

By Road: The temple is located within the Choephelling Settlement Camp, only about 4 KMS from Miao Town Center, accessible via a good motorable road; this short distance makes it easily reachable.

By Local Transport: The best and easiest way to reach is by a quick auto-rickshaw ride or a local taxi/shared Sumo from the Miao main market or bus station; the ride should take only about 10-15 minutes.
