How To Reach Parson Temple

Faridabad, Haryana, India
The Parson Temple, also reverently known as Maharishi Parashar Tapo Bhumi, is a revered ancient Hindu shrine situated in the scenic Aravalli Hills, close to the famous Badkhal Lake. It is believed to be the sacred location where the legendary Vedic sage, Maharishi Parashar—grandfather of the autho r of the Mahabharata, Ved Vyasa—performed his rigorous penance and meditation (tapo bhumi). The temple provides a serene and tranquil escape from the urban hustle. It is surrounded by green trees and the Aravalli Valley, enhancing its spiritual atmosphere. A key feature is the sacred pond, Braham Kund, where devotees believe a holy dip can cleanse one of sins. The temple is a significant local pilgrimage site, drawing devotees from Faridabad and nearby regions for its auspicious setting and historical reverence for the sage.
