How to Reach
By Train: Nearest railhead is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) (190-195 KMS). Follow the same route as
By Air to reach Lachen.
By Road: Drive from Lachen to Tso Lhamo (70-74 KMS). The drive is extremely difficult, on an unpaved, rough, high-altitude road, taking 4-6 hours one way in a permitted 4x4 vehicle. It is past Gurudongmar Lake.
By Local Transport: Only pre-booked, specially permitted, authorized tour vehicles are allowed. No local public transport exists.
