Kolhua Hill
Details : Kolhua Hill, also known as Kauleshwari Hill, is a magnificent plateau rising to a height of 1,575 feet. It is a rare site in India where Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism coexist in harmony. The hill is crowned by the ancient temple of Kauleshwari Devi, a form of Goddess Kali, which attract s thousands of devotees. For Jains, this is the birthplace of the 10th Tirthankara, Sheetalnath Swami, and is often referred to as Bhaddalpur. Buddhist followers revere it as a "Taposthali" where Lord Buddha is believed to have spent time in meditation. The trek to the top is challenging but rewarding, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Lilanjan River and the lush forests of the Chotanagpur Plateau. The air here is filled with spiritual energy and the scent of wild flowers. Historically, the site dates back to the Gupta period, making it a treasure trove for archaeologists. It is a place where nature and divinity meet perfectly.
