Loktak Lake
Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India and is renowned for its unique floating islands, called "phumdis." These phumdis are a heterogeneous mass of soil, vegetation, and organic matter in various stages of decomposition. The largest of these is the world's only floating nation al park, Keibul Lamjao National Park.
