The main sanctum is built of heavy granite blocks, typical of the Vijayanagara period renovations. The wooden ceiling in the porch area reflects the local Malnad architecture, designed to withstand heavy rains. The stone pillars in the mandapa are carved with floral motifs and figures of Nandi.
