Panhala Fort
Panhala Fort, a majestic hilltop fortress located about 20 km northwest of Kolhapur, is a place steeped in history and legend. This sprawling fort, perched at an altitude of 3,177 feet, is one of the largest forts in the Deccan region and a symbol of the Maratha Empire's military prowess. The fort's history dates back to the 12th century when it was built by King Bhoja II.
